After the two successful performances of Hansel & Gretel in November, the school opened its doors after the Christmas holidays with a bang. Guest teacher Ms Kim White, from New York gave 2 classes to both junior and senior students. This was indeed a great experience to all the students of the Brigitte Gauci Borda school of Dance

Ms Kim Marie White who has become a regular guest teacher of the school, founding Artistic Director of Los Angeles Youth Ballet, Ballet Romand, Ballet Riviera and the Vevey Youth Ballet.  After obtaining a scholarship with the School of American Ballet and National Academy of the Arts, Kim went on to dance professionally as a principal dancer in America.  She was also the first American chosen to dance at the prestigious Prix de Lausanne.  In 2003, Kim created the International Youth Festival in Vevey Switzerland bringing together Youth Companies from Russia, England, South Africa and America. A premier teacher and coach, Kim studied many years under George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, which have greatly influenced her teaching syllabus.

She will be back again to teach in April, in the meantime the school will be hosting another guest teacher from Paris to teach classical ballet next month.

Another guest teacher from Germany, Pia Kollner, will be conducting a Hip Hop and Street Dance workshop to our keen Hip Hop students. this workshop will be held on Saturday 8th March from 2pm to 4pm and Sunday 9th March from 10am to noon

Both students were accepted at these famous ballet schools after auditioning sucessfully. Both girls are 12 years of age.
