SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR THE FIRST TERM - please take note of these dates
1ST TERM: commencing Monday 28th September 2009.
NO MID TERM HOLIDAYS – ballet school will be open, lessons as usual
CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS FROM 7th December 2009 – 3rd January 2010
SECOND TERM commencing Monday 4th January 2010
All students must come in full uniform, have a neat, tidy appearance and a regular attendance. Students must arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of their lesson and collected 10 minutes after the end of their lesson.Children should not be kept waiting for long periods. No chewing gum, food or drink other than water are allowed on the school premises. The school is a non smoking zone, please refrain from smoking in the front garden.
BARI A number of our jazz and ballet students attended a 2 week international summer course in Bari, Italy in July. It was a lovely experience for all. One of our dancers won a scholarship to attend next year and Ms Sue our Hip Hop teacher won the Hip Hop Award. Congratulations and well done to both!
OHLOQ TBISSIMA TV Charity show for children of Peru, our Jazz and Hip Hop students performed at this event in July which was broadcasted on all local tv stations.
FASHION AWARDS: Dancers performed at the Malta Fashion Awards representing Prive’ Hair Salon and Clip N Trim Hair Salon which was broadcasted locally on TVM and also internationally on Fashion TV Channel.
GUEST TEACHERS - Our guest teachers this summer were Mavin Khoo, Terence Etheridge and Sianne Strassborg, all from the UK.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Ms Sansavini, Cecchetti examiner who was examining in Malta last June, has awarded two scholarships to two of our students Jacob Borg and Phoebe Schembri, to attend an international summer school in Italy.
SWAN LAKE: I am pleased to inform you that we will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary with the ballet “Swan Lake” which will be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December 2009. HELPERS FOR BACKSTAGE: Our appeal as always is for helpers to lend a hand during the final rehearsals and performances. Please give in your name to Mary Rose or Mrs Gauci Borda.BOOKINGS: You will be notified when the booking will be opened as you will have the facility of pre-booking ahead of the general public.
